Norway is located in the Scandinavian Peninsula and is one of the founding members of such important organizations as United Nations, NATO and the Nordic Council. Noway is also famous for having the fourth-highest per capital income, Fjords, trolls, Vikings and for being the birth place of famous people like the composer Edvard Grieg and playwright Henrik Ibsen.
Norway barely beat Sweden which with their 20.6 Mbps average internet speed comes in the third place of the list of fastest internet connections in the world. There have long been a compeition between the Scandinavian countries for not only Internet connections but also for overall life quality. Sweden is the third largest European Union country and when you thing of Sweden you should think of things like the brands IKEA and H&M, actor Alexander Skarsgard, film director Ingmar Bergman and the infamous file-sharing site The Pirate Bay.
Turning our gears back towards Asia, Hong Kong is the place with the fourth fastest average internet speed in the world with 19.9 megabits per second speed. Hong Kong my not be an independent country, but it is an autonomous territory of the People’s Republic of China and is known not only for being very important financial center but also for its skyscraper filled skyline and as the birthplace of Jackie Chan.
And lastly fifth place on the list of fastest internet connections in the world goes to Switzerland with 18.7 Mbps on average. Switzerland is a European country that has been deemed as the worlds richest county. It is home for multiple different international organizations such as United Nations Human Rights Council, World Health Organization, International Telecommunication Union, International Federation of Association Football and many, many more. But outside of politics Switzerland is known for their watches, famous Chocolate, Swiss cheese, Banks who don’t disclose their account holder’s name and ofcoars also Alps as famed skiing and snowboarding locations.
